Effective July 12, 2026
Privacy should be easy to understand.
PointerPop changes the appearance of your mouse cursor and can display optional glow, sparkle, and trail effects.
Information handling
PointerPop does not collect, sell, or transmit personal information, browsing history, webpage content, or analytics to the developer.
The extension stores the enabled state, selected cursor, cursor size, and flair setting using Chrome storage. Chrome may sync these preferences through your signed-in Chrome profile. Custom cursor images are stored in extension-local browser storage and are not sent to the developer.
Images added by URL
If you add a custom cursor from an image URL, PointerPop makes a request directly to that URL to retrieve the image. The image is then stored locally. The developer does not receive the URL or image.
Website access
Website access is used only to replace cursor styling and render your selected visual effect. PointerPop does not read, record, or transmit webpage content or browsing activity.
Sharing and advertising
No user information is sold or shared with third parties. PointerPop does not include advertising, affiliate tracking, behavioral profiling, or analytics.
Retention and deletion
Preferences and custom cursor images remain in Chrome storage until you change or remove them, clear the extension's storage, or uninstall PointerPop.
Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes and contact
Material changes will be reflected on this page and in the extension's Chrome Web Store disclosures. Questions can be sent to the support email shown on the PointerPop Chrome Web Store listing.
